If you need me, I’ll be in my Treehouse – Blogging!
Hey there! My name is Kristy DeGraaf and I proudly claim this crazy circus we call The Learning Tree! The Learning Tree is a Family Child Care program in Cedar City, which is a perfect quaint little town in Southern Utah. In addition to playing Ring Master during the week, I’m a wife, a mother to four, a student in a Master’s Degree program, and most recently a blogger!
This blog is a project I’ve had on the back burner for several years and I’m so excited to be in a place to finally share my story with you! I see this blog becoming a resource for parents, child care providers and others that are invested in the welfare of young children. I will share a lot of my journey with you and some of the nuggets of wisdom I have picked up along the way.
Connection, Creativity and Collaboration are the core values of our program and those will be the core of the content you will find on this blog. We will explore topics related to child development, best practice in working with young children, guidance, play, learning, and much more. You might laugh, you might cry, but at a minimum you’ll find heart and authenticity here. Thank you for joining us at our crazy fun treehouse!
See you soon!
Kristy
