“What should I get at IKEA?” A shopping guide for childcare and preschool teachers

Do you remember your first time?

I sure do! I decided to find out what the fuss was all about a few years after IKEA came to Draper Utah. I walked in and might as well have heard angels singing. It was really just the IKEA playroom, but any mom who’s tried shopping with four kids can understand why I was ecstatic! I happily dropped off my children and went off to explore.

It’s been several years since that first trip, but I still love a good IKEA run. Have you ever been in that store?  It is AMAZING, but also quite overwhelming. Even if you’ve been several times you might be missing out on some of the best gems. So to help out my fellow early childhood care providers and teachers I offer my list of favorite items to pick up on my IKEA shopping trips.

To find an IKEA near you click here. Our closest IKEA is almost 3 hours away, but it’s well worth the trip every time. For those that prefer, I’ll be posting a non video version of this list later this week.

What do YOU think? What is your favorite IKEA deal? Let me know what I’m missing out on!
